VVF’s Youth Foundation

The Youth Foundation, the educational arm of the Vail Valley Foundation, is dedicated to the education and enrichment of youth in Eagle County, particularly those that need our help most. We provide early childhood education, afterschool and summer programs, and scholarship opportunities for students ranging from preschool through college.

Our programs address the whole child through academic support, fitness and nutrition, character development, and cultural enrichment. As a result, students improve their academic performance, develop healthy habits, learn core values, and broaden their understanding of the world and the opportunities available to them. The Youth Foundation helps children imagine and achieve their dreams.

Our Mission

The Youth Foundation ensure every child in Eagle County has access to education-based programs that ignite passions and prepare children, particularly those in need, for success.

Our Vision

By 2015, the Youth Foundation is nationally recognized for implementing best practice programs and for nurturing children throughout Eagle County from birth to successful adulthood. The Youth Foundation serves as an example of how the public can effectively partner with the school system to support the development and future of children in other communities throughout the United States. Our success drives change by sending a bold message about the value of investing in our greatest resource: our children.

Our Values

We perform with deep respect for the individual, honoring the diversity that surrounds us with a dedication to quality and reliable programming. We share a commitment to community responsibility, and a view that the Youth Foundation exists to contribute to the advancement and welfare of every child with whom we come in contact. By recognizing individual strengths, we strive to have everyone involved with us be known, needed, and cared for.
