KAREN SNARE

Karen Snare grew up in the small town of Center, Colorado, located in the San Luis Valley.  As a child, she enjoyed taking ballet, tap, and jazz classes, but decided to turn her focus to sports once in Jr. High and High School.

Karen graduated from Adams State College with a B.S. in Business Management and a minor in Marketing.  She met her husband, Bill, while working at Lake Powell one summer during college.  After graduating, Karen moved to Vail, where she and Bill have lived for the past 17 years. Karen and Bill operated a charter business at Lake Powell for 15 years, but now run a satellite mapping business and manage various real estate investments.  In addition to their work, Karen and Bill enjoy many hobbies together.  During the winter, they enjoy traveling, scuba diving, snowshoeing, and skiing.  They also split their summers between Vail and Lake Powell, where they enjoy hiking, biking, golf, and water sports.  Karen is eager to relive her childhood days by reinvigorating her dancing skills once again and dancing in the Youth Foundation’s Star Dancing Gala.
